　　中国的环境状况依然很严峻，地面水污染严重，全国沿海水域也有轻度污染，某些城市的空气污染依然严重。不过，控制污染的措施已经加强，可以看到今年某些污染物质的水平已经下降。

　　二氧化硫是污染大气导致酸雨的物质。与去年同期相比，今年一季度二氧化硫含量下降了4.9%，检测水污染程度的化学需氧量下降了2.9%。“我们看到的是持续下降的势头。”张说。

　　AVATAR is being released in 3-D as also in 2-D to make the people understand the efforts that have gone into making of this film. Releasing at a time when whole world is at loggerheads for economic resources as it was manifest from the Copenhagen summit, it could turn out to be a grim reminder for all the citizens of the earth to start having a re-look into the way in which we are playing with our natural resources. If an iota of awakening is done post AVATAR release a part of the purpose of making this film would indeed be served.
