　　T1: An environmental group is planning to organize an activity to help protect the environment. What activity do you suggest and why?

　　Sample:

　　I think the best activities are those that are educational and easily accessible. To organize a clean-up day might be a good idea, because the whole community can participate in this activity, without the need to have any specialized knowledge. On a single day a large number of people, not only adults but also children, gather and work together for the common interest of their own community. They can clean up the streets, dump the trash, and most importantly, learn useful knowledge about environmental protection during the process, like the correct ways of handling toxic wastes.

　　T2: Some people prefer to share a large house with other students, while others prefer to live in a smaller apartment alone. Which one do you prefer? Explain why.

　　Sample:

　　I prefer to live in a smaller apartment alone. I have a couple of reasons for this. First living alone allows me to live and study according to my own pace. What bothers me most is that I have to get used to other people’s time schedule when living with other students in a large house. I prefer to get up early and sleep early. However, many other students may prefer a lifestyle completely different from mine. So it would be better if I live alone. Secondly, living alone in a smaller apartment means that I can decorate the apartment as I like. I don’t have to care about what other people think about it. I would like to paint my room pink and put a lot of dolls on the couch.
