2016年托福考试讲义：否定置前题

　　一、 Not 否定置前题

　　特征：答句针对第一人的话，开口先Not引出一个短句，多为省略句。

　　注意：第一人话中的观点，抓住，省略短句中的Not即为否定它的。

　　最新题例：

　　1、(A) I t isn’t necessary to attend the lecture.

　　(B) There isn’t enough time to eat dessert

　　(C) Eating in the lecture hall is prohibited.

　　(D) The lecture probably won’t start on time

　　W: Now that was a delicious meal, shall we order dessert?

　　M: Not if we expect to make it back in time for our two-o’clock lecture.

　　What does the man mean?

　　2、(A) He likes the music class

　　(B) The woman missed the deadline

　　(C) It may still be possible to drop the class

　　(D) He doesn’t plan to take music.

　　W: Is it too late for me to withdraw from my music class?

　　M: Um, not that I know of.
