　　汉译逻辑要点：

　　1) the illusion of control可以直接翻译为“控制的错觉”，但“控制”总觉得是动词，汉语话没有说完一样。需要返回原文看看，指代的是上文“control our thoughts”，翻译的时候需要补充完整“能控制自己思想的错觉”。

　　2) conscious是“有意识的”，mind“心理、思维活动”。through the conscious mind alone，翻译为“仅仅靠有意识的思维活动”，它修饰动词sustain。

　　完整译文：

　　我们或许仅仅靠有意识的思维活动就可以维持这种能控制自己思想的错觉，但事实上我们却不断碰到一个问题：为什么我不能让自己去做这件事情，实现那个目标呢?

　　1) This seems a justification中的代词This指的是引号里面的内容“Circumstancesdo not make a person, they reveal him”。所以，可以直接翻译为“这种说法”。justification for…，可以转变成为动词来翻译：为…找借口，为…做辩护。

　　2) those in need是in need介词短语修饰those，要翻译为“那些需要帮助的人”，一般是指“穷人”。

　　3) and a rationalization是and并列的名词，作seems的并列表语，按照前面“为…做辩护”的结构翻译：为…找理由。

　　4) the superiority of those at the top是指“上层人的优越”，the inferiority of those at the bottom是指“底层人的卑微”。

　　这种说法似乎是在为忽视贫困者的行为做辩护，为剥削、上层人群的优越和底层人群的卑微找理由。
