Honestly, I seldom read newspapers because I will have to pay a certain amount of subscription fee and spend much time in waiting for them to be mailed to my house every day if I want to read them. This is indeed very inconvenient today when I can just get to know what’s going on for the world through the Internet.

As a student who has never stepped outside China, international news always supplies me with exotic culture and updates of what’s going on in those faraway lands. I would say that they help me understand and appreciate foreign nations without the necessity of going to these places.
