　　Pre-nuptial property notarization is the process of a couple reaching an agreement before registering for marriage and having that agreement notarized. Not all properties in possession of each party need to be included in the notarized agreement. It is also not a prerequisite for marriage to enter into a notarized pre-nuptial agreement. A case for it is that it can protect the interests of both parties. A case against it is that it harms the relationship. The Marriage Law of the People’s Republic of China provides some legal basis for pre-nuptial property notarization.
