　　Han River, a branch of the Yangtze River, flows through Shaanxi and Hubei Provinces and feeds into Yangtze River at the Temple of the Dragon King in Hankou, Wuhan City. The main stream of Han River originates from the southern foot of Qinling Mountains in Shaanxi Province and it flows in the direction of west-to-east. Han River is characterized by perilous canyons, a large volume of runoff, abundant waterpower resources and favorable conditions for navigation.
