　　A reversible lane is a lane in which traffic may travel in either direction, depending on the volume of traffic. Typically, it is used to improve traffic flow on highways where the traffic condition varies significantly at different times during the day. For example, during morning rush hour, more vehicles will be going into the city, and the reversible lane will then be used for inbound traffic. During evening rush hour, more vehicles will be going out of the city, and the reversible lane will then accommodate outbound traffic.
