　　“老赖”，专指欠了别人钱迟迟不还的人。法律意义上的“老赖”，一般是指在民商领域中的一类债务人，其拥有偿还到期债务的能力，但是基于某种原因拒不偿还全部或部分债务。从某种意义上说，“老赖”不但是指一类社会群体，而且可以说是社会转型阶段的一种社会现象。

　　A “deadbeat” refers to a person who hasn’t paid their debts for a long time. From a legal perspective, a “deadbeat” is a debtor who has the ability to pay back matured debts but refuses to pay part or all of their debt for any number of reasons. In a sense, the term “deadbeat” not only refers to a social group, but may also refer to a social phenomenon during a period of social transformation.
