　　晋武帝司马炎(236-290年)，字安世，河内温人，是晋朝的开国君主，265-290年在位。司马炎是司马懿之孙。265年袭父爵晋王，数月后逼迫魏元帝曹奂禅让给自己，国号晋，建都洛阳，279年统一全国。在他统治的太康年间(280-289年)社会出现繁荣景象，史称“太康之治”，他于290年病逝。

　　Sima Yan, Emperor Wu of Jin (236-290), whose courtesy name was Anshi and native of Wen, Henei, was the first emperor (from 265 to 290) of the Jin Dynasty. As the grandson of Sima Yi, he inherited the title Duke of Jin from his father in 265, and deposed Cao Huan, Emperor Yuandi of Wei who was forced to abdicate the throne to him when he established the state of Jin with Luoyang as the capital. The Jin Dynasty reunified China in 279. The period of his reign (280-289) witnessed prosperity, historically known as "prosperity in Taikang". He died of illness in 290.
