　　Macau Cultural Centre is located on Sun Yat-sen Road in the new port area of the Macau Peninsula. It remains the only world-class performance facility in Macau. The centre was built in 1998, and inaugurated by the Portuguese President Jorge Sampaio on March 19, 1999. An impressive cultural landmark added to Macau, the centre occupies an area of 45,000 square meters and consists of a landscape park, a theater and an art museum.
