　　Chrysolophus Pictus is a kind of ornamental bird unique to China. They are alert and timid, living in groups, especially in the autumn and winter, inhabiting jungles at an elevation of 500-2,500 meters. Chrysolophus Pictus mainly feeds on leaves, buds, flowers, fruits of plants, and crops like wheat, soybean and insects such as beetles. This species is mainly distributed in Gansu and the Qinling region in southern Shaanxi. It is also found in Qinghai, Sichuan, Hubei and other places.
