　　A kind of endangered animal specific to China, the golden snub-nosed monkey is a first-class national protection level animal in China. Atypical arboreal animal, they live in the forest at an altitude of 1,500-3,300 meters. They are gregarious animals and have large groups in their society, which are divided into small units based on family members. They mainly live off plant food, involving up to 118 types of plants. In China they are found only in Sichuan, Gansu, Shanxi and Hubei.
