　　Formed by impact and deposition of the Xinjiang, Beijiang, and East Rivers that feed into the sea, the Pearl River Delta (PRD) is located in southeastern China (primarily near Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Macao). This region pioneered China’s reform and opening-up. It is an important economic center of China, as well as a world famous processing, manufacturing, and export base. The Pearl River Delta is one of the world’s largest and most advanced high-tech industry hubs.
