　　海南岛是中国南部的一个岛屿，是海南省的陆地主体。历史上海南岛有三种古称：珠崖、儋耳、琼台。汉武帝时海南岛正式纳入中国版图，成为中国的神圣领土。海南岛四周低平，中间高耸，海南岛光、热、水等条件优越，生物生长繁殖速率较高，农田终年可以种植。中国将在2020年将海南初步建成世界一流海岛休闲度假旅游胜地。

　　Hainan Island, an island in southern China, is the main body of land in Hainan Province. As per history, Hainan Island had three ancient names: Zhuya, Dan’er, Qiongtai. Hainan Island was officially incorporated into the territory of China in Han Dynasty and became China's sacred territory. Hainan Island features low and flat terrain in the surrounding areas and high-altitude landforms in the central areas. Endowed with favorable conditions in light, heat and water, it reports higher biological growth and reproduction rates and all-year-long cultivation in the farmlands. China will initially build Hainan into a world-class island resort for leisure and tourism by 2020.
