　　Liang Sicheng (1901-1972) was a famous architect, architectural historian and educator. He was born in Tokyo,while his ancestral home was in Xinhui of Guangdong Province. A devoted researcher and conservationist of ancient Chinese architecture throughout his life, he was appointed academician of The Department of Philosophical and Social Sciences in the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and participated in the design of the Monument to the People's Heroes and the national emblem of the People's Republic of China.
