Hangzhou has an edge on the global stage. The city will play host to the next Asian Games，where e-sports are expected to be an official medal event. In the last Asian Games，it was a demonstration sport. 3 years later，e-sports industry revenues could be $1.65 billion worldwide，equivalent to ￥11.4 billion，and China alone is estimated to drive 18% of total e-sports revenues this year. With its investments，Hangzhou is getting ahead in the game.
