问：14日，美国总统特朗普连续发推特称，中国当然想达成贸易协议，让他们先人道地应对香港吧。他还提及可能与中国领导人会晤。中方对此有何评论?
Q: On August 14, US President Trump said in his tweets that “Of course China wants to make a deal. Let them work humanely with Hong Kong first.” He also suggested a possible meeting with the Chinese leader. I wonder what is China’s comment?
答：香港事务纯属中国内政。我们注意到，特朗普总统此前也曾表示，“香港是中国的一部分，他们必须自己解决，不需要建议”。我们希望美方说到做到。
A: Hong Kong affairs are entirely China’s internal affairs. As we noted, President Trump also said previously that “Hong Kong is a part of China. They’ll have to deal with that themselves. They don’t need advice.” We hope the US side will keep its word.
中方对中美经贸磋商的立场是一贯和明确的。我们希望美方与中方相向而行，落实两国元首大阪会晤共识，在平等和相互尊重的基础上，通过对话磋商找到彼此都能接受的解决办法。
China holds a consistent and clear position on China-US trade talks. We hope the US can work in concert with China to implement the two Presidents’ consensus that was reached in Osaka, and to work out a mutually acceptable solution through equal-footed dialogue and consultation with mutual respect.
关于中美高层交往，中美元首一直通过会晤、通话、通信等方式保持着沟通。
Regarding high-level communication, the Chinese and US Presidents have remained in contact with each other via meetings, phone calls and letters.
问：今天是日本战败纪念日，日本首相安倍晋三向靖国神社供奉了香火钱，一些内阁官员及部分国会议员参拜了靖国神社。中方对此有何评论?
Q: As today marks the anniversary of Japan’s defeat in World War II, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe sent a cash offering to Yasukuni Shrine and some cabinet and parliament members paid tribute to it. Does the Chinese side have any comment?
答：我们注意到了日方在靖国神社问题上的消极动向。这再次反映出日方一些政要对待历史的错误态度。我们敦促日方切实信守迄今表态和承诺，以实际行动取信于亚洲邻国和国际社会。
A: We note the negative move relating to Yasukuni Shrine from the Japanese side. This again reflects the erroneous attitude of some senior Japanese politicians toward history. We urge the Japanese side to earnestly honor its commitment and take real actions to win back the trust from its Asian neighbors and beyond.
问：据报道，美商务部将中广核等4家企业列入出口管制“实体名单”。中方对此有何评论?
Q: According to media reports, the US Department of Commerce added four enterprises including China General Nuclear Power Corporation to the department’s “Entity List”. I wonder what is China’s comment?
答：中方注意到美国商务部13日将中广核有限公司及其下属3家公司列入出口管制实体名单。美方此举泛化国家安全概念、滥用出口管制措施，不仅对中国企业造成伤害，也对包括美国在内的相关国家企业造成影响。中方坚决反对美方通过单边主义和保护主义政策伤害中国甚至世界各国利益。希望美方认清形势，停止有关错误做法，坚持通过平等协商解决问题。
A: As China noted, the US Department of Commerce added China General Nuclear Power Corporation and its three subsidiaries to the department’s Entity List on August 13. By doing so, the US has abused the concept of national security and the measure of export control. It hurts not only Chinese companies but also businesses of the US and beyond. China firmly opposes the act of the US to undermine the interests of China and other countries through unilateral and protectionist policies. We hope the US will grasp the situation, stop its wrongdoing and stick to equal-footed consultation for a solution.
