Efforts should be made to better use the internet to heed people's views and pool their wisdom. The campaign to seek public input online for drafting the 14th Five-Year Plan for the 2021-2025 period was conducted from Aug. 16 to 29 this year. It received over 1 million opinions and suggestions from internet users.
This marks the first time in the history of China's Five-Year-Plan formulation that public opinion has been sought online. The move saw significant involvement from the people and garnered a great number of constructive opinions and suggestions, which clearly showed the people's new aspiration for a better life.
要更好发挥互联网在倾听人民呼声，汇聚人民智慧方面的作用。今年8月16日至29日，“十四五”规划编制工作开展网上意见征求活动。活动累计收到网民建言百万余条。
通过互联网就“十四五”规划编制向全社会征求意见和建议，在我国五年规划编制史上是第一次。这次活动社会参与度很高，收到了许多建设性的意见和建议。这些意见和建议充分表达了人民对美好生活的新期盼。
