The earth is our home, we all know

But trees are what make it grow

Their roots hold the soil tight

And their leaves provide us with light

On Arbor Day we plant a tree

And watch it grow so tall and free

It may start small, but soon it will thrive

Giving us shade and keeping us alive

From the maple to the oak

Each tree is a precious stroke

In the canvas of nature's design

A symbol of hope that will always shine

So let's celebrate Arbor Day

By planting trees along the way

For every tree we plant today

Is a gift to the world that will never decay
