　　Many of us spend upwards of 8 hours a day sedentary at our jobs; we eat unbalance diets of pre-prepared foods in order to save time; and we are constantly stressed due to a never-ending bombardment of stressors coming from our contemporary lifestyle. Managing all three things--diet, exercise, and stress--would be a daunting task for anyone, so if I had to pick one thing to improve my health, it would probably be exercise.

　　Parents and teachers are both important people to a child. Some people say, "Good teachers are more important to a child's development than good parents." However, I do not agree with this statement.

　　During an economic crisis, governments face difficult choices of monetary allocation with reduced budgets. In this challenging time, it is of vital importance for policy-makers to recognize the effectiveness of policy-making on certain social services or programs such as arts, scientific research and park and public gardens. If a choice has to be made, in my opinion, the government should reduce its spending on arts.

　　Reading is a process of procuring knowledge and the ways of reading vary for students between reading on their own and reading as told by their teachers. As for me, it will be more beneficial to read books in line with students’ wishes.

　　While I prefer to put away my cellphone when doing homework, I can see how some students could benefit from having a cellphone around. I think it is fine for students to use cellphones while studying as long as they can stay focused.

　　It may seem too strong a statement to accept that one should never be impolite to others in the society today. With the mounting stress of life, people tend to fuss over trivial things, talking or behaving in a bad manner, at work or at home. Or they may be easily provoked, getting into quarrels or even fights with strangers. However, there is no reason for us to be rude to another person as it contributes to neither business nor human relations.

　　I agree with this idea. Although being with others is enjoyable when you’re already in good spirits, it can be exhausting when you are stressed out. On the other hand, when you are by yourself, you are free to truly do nothing and let yourself unwind. You can also focus on your own particular little pleasures, rather than shared activities that might not reduce stress very much. Finally, when you’re alone, you are given the quiet atmosphere necessary to organize your thoughts and plans.

　　I disagree with this idea. Some teachers make a huge positive impact on their students that can’t be measured by grades or tests, there are students that don’t do well even if they have fantastic teachers, and having extra money as a possible reward could make some teachers unfortunately cheat the system.

　　In most countries around the world, students study at school for less than 10 months of a year, enjoying the remaining 2 months mostly as a long summer vacation. This, in my opinion, is a less efficient educational system for the students. Students who take very long summer vacations tend to forget what they have previously learned. This means that when school starts again, much time is wasted on refreshing the memories of the students. Ending this cycle with shorter summers results in a stronger, more productive school year.
