　　Chronicle of a Blood Merchant is a novel written by Yu Hua in 1995, and describes a story in which Xu Sangun relied on selling his own blood to survive one difficulty after another. But when he became old, he experienced a mental breakdown due to the fact that people no longer wanted to buy his blood. The novel portrays a life of both great tribulation, and profound tenderness.
